The dentist at Love Teeth was very kind and warming and my daughter did not feel nervous at all. I am so grateful they managed to do the extraction with ease. The waiting room for children is also brilliant, with seasonal things to do (colouring, books, ipad, projector with a film on). We would most definitely come back and will now be looking at a membership for my daughter.

Gorgeous and friendly staff, really beautiful clinic and perfect treatments. I had my front fillings changed and they look really good. They match my teeth and aren’t visible. I know this is tricky to do but my dentist here is very good and professional so done the best job I have had. Everyone is happy to share information on treatments and will answer any questions.

Dental Bridges – Your Options
There are several types of dental bridges to choose from. Don’t worry if this all sounds a little technical—our experienced team can talk you through the options and let you know which type will work best for you.
Traditional Bridge
We use these when there are healthy teeth on either side of the gap to rely on for support. We may fit crowns to strengthen them before installing your new prosthetic tooth. Traditional bridges are typically made from ceramics or porcelain, which can fuse to metal.
Cantilever Bridge
If there is a healthy tooth only on one side of the gap, all is not lost. A cantilever bridge is similar to a traditional bridge. However, it relies on just one adjacent tooth for support.
Maryland Bonded Bridges
These are sometimes referred to as resin-bonded bridges and can be made from a combination of porcelain, metal, plastic and resin. They are fixed to the adjacent teeth using porcelain or metal wings.
Dental Bridges – The Process
In true Love Teeth style, we’ll start with a consultation to find out whether a bridge is right for you. We’ll let you know a bit more about the different types of bridges on offer, and we may take an X-ray of your jaw to make sure it’s the best course of action.
At your first appointment, we’ll prepare the teeth on either side of the gap, making minor adjustments to their shape to ensure they can easily support the prosthetic tooth. We’ll then fit a temporary bridge while the permanent one is precision-engineered in the laboratory.
At a follow-up appointment, we’ll replace the temporary bridge with its permanent replacement. This will match the shade and shape of your existing teeth for a completely seamless look.
We’ll see you again in a few weeks to make sure you’re 100% happy with your new bridge, and we can also make any adjustments if necessary.
