The Initial Consultation

Before we can work our magic on your smile, we want to know exactly what you dislike about it. We can provide all of the procedures and the technology to help you realise your smile’s potential.  

Dr Kunal Patel is an expert at carrying out minimally invasive treatments that provide maximum effect. He’ll talk you through the options available to help resculpt, realign, brighten, and repair your teeth and will specifically suggest the best options that deliver the results you’re looking for.

Often, a mini smile makeover will make use of a couple of different treatments, and Kunal will design a treatment plan where your perfect smile will be worked on over the course of a few weeks or several months. 

Once we’ve designed your new smile, we’ll show you the plans and talk you through how we’ll achieve them. If you’re happy, we’ll commence your mini smile makeover.

What Is Included in a Mini Smile Makeover?

The exact answer to this question will be different for everyone that walks through our doors. Kunal will assess your teeth and recommend the best course of action in your treatment plan. 

For example, if gappy discoloured teeth are your problem, we may suggest Invisalign aligners to correct the positioning of the teeth coupled with Enlighten, a remarkable teeth whitening treatment. If you have damaged and stained teeth, we may be able to address both issues relatively quickly using composite bonding and Zoom!.

Aligners

If you’re someone that doesn’t like the way that your teeth are positioned, you’re not alone. Orthodontic issues aren’t just cosmetic concerns though, misaligned teeth are more susceptible to tooth decay and their position can affect your bite. 

If you’ve got gaps, overcrowding, protruding, crooked teeth, or problems such as crossbite, overbite, underbite, deep bite, open bite, then we’d recommend some sort of orthodontic treatment. The exact appliance we’d suggest will depend on the severity of the issue.

We’re proud to offer both Invisalign and Six Month Smiles, two of the most popular orthodontic solutions in the world. 

Invisalign uses a series of custom-made clear aligners to gently reroute any off-course teeth. You’ll wear the removable aligners for as much of the day as possible, taking them out only when you’re eating or brushing your teeth. 

These will be exchanged for a different set every few weeks, and before you know it, you’ll have straight, gap-free teeth.

Six Month Smiles is an effective and discreet fixed-brace solution that works wonders for misalignments in just six months. These work more like a traditional brace, but their clear brackets and subtle wires make them far more attractive.

Enlighten Teeth Whitening

Bonding, Crowns, Inlays, Onlays, and Veneers

Chips and cracks in your teeth not only ruin the confidence you have in your smile, but they can also be a route for decay-forming bacteria to creep in. Having bonding, crowns, inlays, onlays, or veneers will not only improve your smile, but they’ll protect your teeth preventing decay.

Composite bonding uses resin to rebuild your teeth. This is shaped on your teeth and then hardened using a UV light. It’s the least invasive way to deal with a range of problems. 

For a tooth that’s already damaged by decay, we can often save it by using a crown. This is a prosthetic cap that covers all of a tooth above the gum line.

Where the damage is to the chewing area of your tooth, we may use an inlay or an onlay to help save your tooth.

Veneers are thin porcelain shells that go on the front of your teeth. These cover cracked and discoloured teeth while improving their shape and reducing any gaps. 

Replacement Teeth

The gaps left by missing teeth can be particularly problematic to many people, particularly if they’re in the most visible area of the smile. Fortunately, we can replace missing teeth using implants or bridges.

Bridges use neighbouring teeth to hold a replacement tooth in place. You’ll usually have crowns fitted on either side of the gap, and your prosthetic tooth will be cemented to these. Bridges look completely natural, and you’d never know they were there.

Implants, on the other hand, replace the root of your tooth with a titanium post. These are used to hold realistic crowns in place to restore the look and function of your tooth.
