Lift Your Cheeks and Revitalise Your Appearance
It can be disconcerting when the signs of the passing years become ingrained in your face. You may be worried about losing volume around your cheeks, have a tired appearance with under-eye hollows, or have wrinkles along the inside edges.
In such cases, you may think a surgical facelift may be the only option. Thankfully, there are less invasive techniques; nasolabial fold fillers can help restore your natural beauty without looking overdone or unnatural and without the need for surgery.
Using dermal fillers, we can give you a younger, fresher, and healthier appearance focusing on the cheeks and lower face without giving them a “puffy” or “pillow-face” look. This treatment is commonly referred to as nasolabial fold fillers.

How Nasolabial Fold
Filler Treatment Works
Once upon a time, you may have had full and healthy-looking cheeks, which helped to give you a beautiful, youthful complexion.
Once upon a time, you may have had full and healthy-looking cheeks, which helped to give you a beautiful, youthful complexion. As you age, collagen and elastin in your cheeks become depleted. This leads to a flatter, sunken appearance. You may notice a more drawn, gaunt, and aged look. A sudden drop in weight or smoking can also speed up the signs of ageing.
Dermal filler treatment is a non-surgical way of addressing sunken cheeks. It replaces lost volume and gives you a fresher, younger appearance.
Before the procedure, we’ll carefully plan the intricate details and identify the specific sites that will receive the injection. Then, once we have planned the treatment, we’ll inject the filler.
Dermal fillers use hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring substance that hydrates the skin. This gives the skin around your cheeks renewed plumpness and elasticity. The entire process is relatively brief and minimally invasive.

Root Canal and Crown. This was for a cracked tooth NHS said could not save. Dr Sheena Patel did amazing work, highly skilled professional but also a lovely person as are all the staff at the Sutton branch. Very pleased with the results and delighted my tooth is now perfect. Well done Love Teeth!
Yes I would definitely recommend this practice! I’ve just had root canal treatment and a crown by Dr. Sheena and her fantastic and caring assistant Maria! Both made me feel at ease and both very professional, excellent work, my teeth feel great! I can not recommend this practice enough.
I was most impressed when I arrived with everyone at reception being so helpful and welcoming. My appointment was on time and went straight to the room greeted by two staff. Having hated my teeth all my life I decided to treat myself! I did a lot of research and Love Teeth had very good reviews and they also had local practises which made them a good choice. Prior to having porcelain veneers fitted, I saw the hygienist and also had some root canal work done. I wouldn’t say I have a phobia of dentists but I am nervous! But I needn’t have been. It was all pain free! The reception girls were all lovely too. Very friendly and they remember your name! Overall, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Love Teeth (I attended the Sutton clinic).

Frequently asked questions
What Are Nasolabial Folds?
Nasolabial folds run along the inside of your cheeks from the bottom of your nose down to the corner of your mouth. Although everyone has these lines, they will deepen as you get older.
In addition to the natural ageing process, the prominence of these lines can be increased as a result of smoking or sudden weight loss brought about through crash diets.
What Are Dermal Fillers?
Made from pharmaceutical-grade hyaluronic acid, dermal fillers hydrate, plump, and refresh your skin.
Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance found in the fluid surrounding your joints and eyes. It decreases swelling and contributes to the youthful appearance of your skin. However, as you age, the natural production of hyaluronic acid begins to slow down.
Dermal fillers are a fantastic way of replenishing lost hyaluronic acid and rehydrating areas of your face.
Do Nasolabial Fold Fillers Hurt?
We always go out of our way to make your treatment as comfortable as possible. In fact, many of our patients comment on how little pain they experience during and after the procedure.
What Can I Expect Following Nasolabial Fold Fillers?
Following nasolabial fold filler treatment, you may experience some bruising or redness around the injection site. However, this usually only lasts for a day or two. Similarly, the treatment area may feel firmer than usual for a few days after the procedure. It may be tempting to rub the treatment area, but you should resist the temptation for at least five days.
After treatment, avoiding too much sun exposure or strenuous exercise for the next two days is important. You should also avoid applying makeup to the injection site for 24 hours after the procedure.
Although there is very little pain or discomfort associated with dermal fillers, you may want to take painkillers. Remember that you shouldn’t take ibuprofen or aspirin for a few days after your treatment.
Are There Any Side Effects to Nasolabial Fold Fillers?
Typically, the most common side effect associated with dermal fillers is swelling. That said, you should be prepared for a bit of bruising and even small lumps under your skin. All of these symptoms will disappear on their own over time.
We want you to feel completely at ease while undergoing this non-surgical aesthetic treatment. However, we can discuss these further during your initial consultation if you have any worries about potential side effects.
How Long Does It Take to Recover After Nasolabial Fold Fillers?
The nasolabial fold filler recovery process is relatively short. Typically, any swelling or redness will last for a couple of days. After your treatment, you can go about your normal activities straight away; however, it’s important to avoid doing anything too strenuous for two days.
How Soon Will the Results of Nasolabial Fold Fillers Be Visible?
You’ll be glad to know that the signs of ageing around the cheeks and nasolabial folds will start reversing immediately after your treatment. The process will give you naturally fuller cheeks. Your friends and family will undoubtedly notice how healthy and well-rested you look.
How Long Do the Effects of Dermal Fillers Last?
Over time, your body will naturally break down the hyaluronic acid used in your nasolabial fold filler treatment. The exact time this takes will vary; however, it’s usually between six months and two years.
It will be possible to replenish the hyaluronic acid by revisiting us for a top-up treatment every so often at a later date.
Are Nasolabial Fold Fillers Right for Me?
Nasolabial fold fillers can enhance the appearance of sunken cheeks, reducing the signs of ageing in the process. It does this in a minimally invasive and non-surgical way.
We’ll never undertake a procedure that you’re not completely comfortable with. During your initial consultation, you’ll have the opportunity to ask us any questions that you may have so that you can make an informed decision about your treatment.
